FaceDub is a two-person video app. One of you films a short silent clip, the other watches
it and speaks over it, and the two halves ship as one video with both names on it.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This policy explains what the FaceDub app collects, why, who it is shared with, and what
you can do about it. Contact:
support@getfacedub.com.
1. What we collect
Your account. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your
email address and, if the provider sends it, your name. The name is stored as a copy and
is never shown in the app; other players see you only by your
@username, which is generated at your first sign-in and can be changed
in Settings.
Your profile. Your @username, the side you pick by default, when your
account was created, and a profile photo if you upload one. With a Google account, your
Google profile photo is used as your portrait until you set your own.
Your recordings. The intro video (with sound) you film at the start of
a room, the silent video clips you film as the Face, and the audio takes you record as
the Voice. The camera and microphone are used only while you are on a recording screen;
the photo library only when you pick a profile photo.
Rooms and dubs. The state of each room you are in (its steps, whose
turn it is, sync settings) and the finished dub: one video made from both players'
recordings, with both @usernames and portraits burned into its credits, plus a thumbnail
image.
Notifications. If you allow notifications, a push token for each phone
you sign in on, with its platform (iOS or Android) and the app's language.
Sign in with Apple token. If you sign in with Apple, a token Apple
issues is kept on our servers only so that your Apple sign-in can be revoked when you
delete your account.
Crash reports. When the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics records the
crash, the app version, and the device model and operating system. Crash reports are not
linked to your account.
Usage analytics. Firebase Analytics records anonymous events: signing
in, creating or joining a room, handing over a take, and opening or flipping the camera.
They carry Firebase's random app-instance identifier and standard device information,
never your account id, @username, room code or recordings. We do not use an advertising
identifier and do not track you across other apps or websites. Analytics is on by
default; the app does not ask for consent before collecting it.
On your phone only. Your language choice is kept on the device.
We do not collect your location or contacts, we show no ads, and we do not sell your data.
2. Who sees your content
Your recordings and the finished dub are visible only to the two players in the room.
There is no public feed. Your partner sees your @username and portrait.
A dub leaves FaceDub only when one of the two players shares it, for example to
Instagram, TikTok or through the phone's share sheet. Either player can share the
finished dub. Once shared, the receiving service's own terms and privacy policy apply.
3. How and why we use your data
We use your data to provide the app you ask for: signing you in, running rooms, passing
takes between the two players, rendering the dub, sending you room notifications such as
"your turn" and "dub ready", and deleting your account when you ask. We use crash reports
and anonymous analytics, on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and
improving it.
4. Service providers and where data is stored
Google (Firebase and Google Cloud): sign-in, database, file storage,
server functions, video rendering, push delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging), Crashlytics
and Analytics.
Apple: Sign in with Apple, and push delivery to iPhones.
Your account data, rooms, recordings and dubs are stored and processed in the European
Union (Google Cloud's European multi-region and the europe-west1 region,
Belgium). Google may process crash reports and analytics outside the EU, including in the
United States. These providers process data on our behalf under their own data-processing
terms.
5. How long we keep it
Your account data is kept until you delete your account.
Recordings and dubs are not deleted automatically, including after a
room is finished.
A push token is removed when the push service reports it is no longer valid.
Crash reports and analytics are kept according to Firebase's retention settings.
6. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (see Support
for the steps). Deletion removes:
your sign-in, your user record, your @username and your profile photos;
your push tokens, and your Sign in with Apple token, which is revoked with Apple;
your current takes in finished rooms;
every room you are in that is not finished yet, with all of its recordings, including
your partner's.
What stays:
Finished dubs stay with your partner. The video file keeps your face,
your voice, and the @username and portrait burned into its credits. In the app, your
name is removed from the dub and from your partner's profile.
In finished rooms, your intro video and any earlier takes you replaced with a new
recording are not removed today.
Copies of a dub already shared outside FaceDub are beyond our control.
Crash reports and anonymous analytics, which are not linked to your account.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK)
and the EU GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its
processing, or receive a copy of it. You can change your @username and photo and delete
your account yourself in the app; for anything else, email
support@getfacedub.com. We answer within 30
days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
Access rules on our servers let only the two players of a room read its recordings and
dub. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Google. No system is perfectly secure.
9. Children
FaceDub is not meant for anyone under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child
under 13, we delete it.
10. Changes
We will update this page when the app's data practices change, and change the "Last
updated" date above.
Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the FaceDub app. By using the app you agree to them.
1. The service
FaceDub lets two people make a video together: one films short silent clips, the other
speaks over them, and the app renders the two halves into one dub. The app is in active
development; features may change or stop.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 to use FaceDub. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or
guardian's permission. You sign in with Apple or Google and are responsible for what
happens under your account.
3. Your content
You keep the rights to what you record. You give us permission to store, process and
render your recordings, and to deliver them and the finished dub to your partner in the
room, as needed to run the app. You also agree that your partner may keep the finished dub
and share it outside FaceDub, as you may.
4. Acceptable use
Only record yourself, or people who have agreed to be recorded.
Do not record or share anything illegal, sexual content involving minors, harassment,
hate, or content you have no right to use.
Do not misuse the service: guessing room codes, overloading it, or reverse-engineering
it.
5. Availability
We try to keep FaceDub running but do not guarantee it is always available or that
recordings and dubs are never lost.
6. Disclaimer and liability
FaceDub is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect
or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits
rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using FaceDub and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an
account that breaks these terms.
8. Changes and contact
We will post changes on this page and update the date above. Questions:
support@getfacedub.com.

Deleting your account
In the app:
Open your profile and tap the settings button.
Tap Delete account.
Type the confirm word shown (DELETE, or SİL in Turkish) and tap Delete.
If you no longer have the app, email
support@getfacedub.com from the address you
signed in with and ask us to delete your account; we will do it for you.
Deletion removes your sign-in, profile, photos, current takes in finished rooms and every
unfinished room you are in. Finished dubs stay with your partner and keep your face, voice
and credits as they were rendered. The full list is in
Privacy Policy → Deleting your account.
